Guilty Pleasures

This is a post about guilty pleasures, in food that is. So what is a foodie? Is there an official term or definition? I'm not sure.. but if you were to ask me.. i'd say it is someone who loves food and celebrates it in any or all ways. That is not just limited to foods that are organic, local, etc but also the dirty greasy convient stuff =] This is a collection of random guilty pleasures i had last week.



Last week, they opened a "Tasty's" near my family's house so we bought some beef patties. i love the crunchy flakey crust with the soft and slightly spicy meaty center. Its also super quick to make, i cheat



Everyone loves their double double, but Vanilla Dips are amazing! almost 100% sugar.. but the crunch.. and artificial colour is such a delight



And then of course, the Big Mac Combo. I love McDonald's mainly because whenever I go, its in result of a massiave craving for the big mac. The housand island dressing, lettuce, cheese, and dirty beef is the ultimate combination. And of course fries and coke adds to that.

Having the big mac reminded me of May because the first thing i told her about Rome was.. "you're gonna love McDonald's in Rome". Why? because when i was living in Rome.. eating something foreign and not Italian was very rare. We're spoiled in Canada.. we have so many options.. i'd go with my housemates to Micky D's for for a taste of home in Rome. Is that sad? not at all, heck its so damn yummy!
