May and I went to check out
foodshare's 25th anniversary celebration & general meeting. Overall, it was a fun event.. but i couldn't help but think they're could have been way more people that attended. They provide such great activities, educational programs, and ideas.. that would appeal to many.

foodshare's entrance

and their garden

the complimentary meal =] tofu, spiced chicken, bak choi.. all very tasty

and desserts too

the good food box, sample produce. the little cucumbers were so tasty!

this was an amazing little demonstration in the basement of hydrophonic tomatoes growing in cycle with fish below providing nutrient waste. how awesome is this? and shouldn't this be displayed in the public somewhere on bloor or queen street instead of hidden in a basement?
just a thought.. the more we can engage the public with these ideas, the more we'd be informed. I honestly think good food is something everyone is interested in.
